I think this quote from the pilot episode of #PEN15 is enough of a reason to start binge-watching the 10-episode coming of age comedy that is NOW #streaming on #Hulu.

What is PEN15?
PEN15 was created by and stars #AnnaKonkle and #MayaErskine both playing seventh grade versions of themselves (they're in their thirties!) while the rest of their cast are actual thirteen-year-olds navigating the 7th grade in the year 2000. Intrigued? Check out the trailer below!

Genius, I know!
But even if you had thought of this idea for a series, you would need Anna and Maya! If it weren't for them, this show would not work, literally, since they are the creators. At the end of each episode there is this statement: Adult body doubles were used in some scenes (you'll see why).
It's pretty much an R-Rated version of 7th grade however, PEN15 is a breath of fresh air. It brings you back to your youth and shows that you weren’t alone in the way you felt about your body, friends, family, etc. And seeing posters of Jonathan Taylor Thomas amongst the character’s bedroom is the cherry on top of a perfect nostalgia ice cream cone.
